Chan School of Public Health measured cognitive performance under different indoor air conditions. The results are difficult to ignore.<\/span><\/p>\n Participants exposed to improved air quality achieved up to 61% higher cognitive scores, along with significant gains in focus and decision-making ability. Under otherwise identical conditions. <\/span>Air quality alone made the difference. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div> A common assumption in office environments is that if ventilation is working, air quality is under control. This assumption is incomplete. <\/span>Ventilation is designed primarily to manage CO\u2082 levels by introducing fresh air and maintaining circulation. <\/span>But ventilation does not remove all pollutants. <\/span>Fine particles (PM2.5), gases such as VOCs, and biological contaminants require specialized filtration. <\/span>In other words: <\/span><\/p>\n Ventilation moves air.<\/b><\/p>\n It does not clean it.<\/b><\/p>\n Sustainability begins with measurement. What cannot be measured cannot be managed. <\/span><\/p>\n In the context of indoor environments, this means air quality must be:<\/p>\n – monitored<\/b><\/p>\n – analyzed<\/b><\/p>\n – actively managed<\/b><\/p>\n Without data, air quality is assumed – not controlled.<\/p>\n The office is not just a space.
