The IQAir Atem Car Air Purifier is the newest product in the IQAir range and their first proper car air purifier. As you would expect from IQAir, the Atem car air purifier features a best in class HyperHEPA filtration, which removes virtually all particulate pollution.
In addition to particulate pollution such as diesel soot, bacteria, viruses, pollen and more, the HyperHEPA Plus filtration of the Atem Car air purifier also offers gas and odour filtration, and thus will effectively control Nitrogen Dioxide, VOC’s, Benzene, Sulphur Dioxide and Formaldehyde.
The IQAir Atem Car air purifier features a powerful fan which is able to provide up to 62m/3 of clean air per hour. The Atem Car air purifier also features an automatic key-in-ignition activation system which saves you the trouble of manually turning the Atem Car on/off. The Atem Car air purifier features three different fan speed settings, a filter life indicator and it can also be operated via the ‘Atem app’. Extra functionality, such as customised fan speed settings and a child lock feature is also available.

Particulate and Gas Filtration
The IQAir Atem Car air purifier features IQAir’s new HyperHEPA Plus filter which is the best choice for purification within your vehicle. The HyperHEPA Plus filter has two types of media within the filter. One that is responsible for absorbing gases and odours and the other that changes the pollutant to an oxidized form. This makes sure to control the level of chemicals, gases and odours you breathe in your car. The gas filter is capable of removing a wide range of chemical pollutants which include, Benzene, Sulphur Dioxide, VOC’s, Nitrogen Dioxide and Formaldehyde.
As well as removing chemicals, gases and odours, IQAir’s HyperHEPA Plus filter is also effective against the removal of Ultrafine Particles (UFP) which is smaller than 0.1 microns in size. Ultrafine particles make up about 90% of all airborne pollution, of which traffic pollution is a primary source. The HyperHEPA Plus filter is able to remove particulate pollution in the form of PM 2.5, soot, pollen, pet dander and bacteria
Easy to Use
The IQAir Atem Car air purifier can be operated by pressing the Atem logo, located on the side of the device. You can also operate it by using the Atem app from your smartphone via Bluetooth. Using the app, you can turn the air purifier on/off, as well as having more precise control over the speed of the fan. The Atem app also allows the activation of a child lock feature. When the Atem Car air purifier gets down to 5% remaining filter life, the Atem will alert you with an audible and visual signal from the unit and the app. When you need to change the filter, simply inserting a new filter will automatically reset the filter indicator.

HyperHEPA Plus Filtration
The IQAir Atem Car air purifier features IQAir’s new revolutionary HyperHEPA Plus filter. This filter has a surface area of 0.23m2 and is able to filter out particulates as well as chemicals, gases and odours. The filter is able to remove ultrafine particles which can be smaller than 0.1 microns in size. The Atem filter can effectively remove pet dander, dust, viruses, bacteria, mould spores, allergens, in addition to chemicals, gases and odours. The Atem Car air purifier combines two types of media, one that absorbs odour and gases and the other that changes the pollutant to an oxidized form. The Atem has a total system efficiency of over 99% and the filter life is 1 year based on average daily usage of 3 hours on default speed 3.
