The IQAir HealthPro 150 air purifier is the ‘compact’ version of the HealthPro 250. It features the same medical-grade HyperHEPA filter technology to remove fine and ultrafine particles, such as bacteria, viruses, mould, pet dander, traffic pollution.
The main difference between the IQAir HealthPro 150 and 250 models is that the IQAir HealthPro 150 uses two instead of three filters. Where the HealthPro 250 uses the regular particle pre-filter as well as a separate gas and odour filter, the IQAir HealthPro 150 uses the PreMax MG Filter, which combines the particle pre-filter with an additional layer of gas filtration media.
The HealthPro 150’s PreMax MG Filter uses 1 kg of high quality granular activated carbon and pelletised chemisorption to capture and retain odours, gases and chemicals out of the air. The IQAir HealthPro 150 is an especially good choice for anyone who is looking for an air purifier with industry-leading, leakage-free particulate filtration in a compact design.
The HyperHEPA Difference
The air we breath has a direct impact on our health and well-being. It is especially the fine and ultra fine pollution that causes the most severe damage to our immune system. 90% of all ultra fine particles are smaller than 0.3 microns, and most air purifiers only filter particles larger than this. This means that most air purifiers are only filtering 10% of the particles in your air. The Pre-Filter of the HealthPro 150 air cleaner consists of a pre-filter stage made from a high-capacity mini-pleat design. The media of the filter is a wet - Odour and Gas Elimination
Unlike the HP 250, the Pre- and Gas-filter stages in the Health Pro 150 are combined together in the PreMax MG Filter. The 1kg of gas-filter stage media eliminates Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), and destroys harmful chemicals, such as formaldehyde. The media consists of a MultiGas granular activated carbon & KMnO4 impregnated alumina – the most effective material to filter out a broad spectrum of gases, chemicals and odours.
The large surface area of the HealthPro 150’s PreMax MG Filter, in combination with the leakage free design of all IQAir air purifiers, protects the fan and HyperHEPA filter from large particle pollution and premature loading.
4. Industry’s Highest Filtration Rate
Through IQAir’s patented HyperHEPA clean-room-grade, high-efficiency particulate arresting filtration, which allows the HealthPro 150 to capture and retain bacteria and viruses, as well as particulate air pollution from traffic, industry, tobacco smoke and more. The HealthPro 150’s HyperHEPA Filter has a CFC-free construction and a filtration efficiency of 99.97% for particles down to 0.3 micron and 99.5% for particles down to 0.003 micron. The media is a HEPA class H13 filter with a wet laid glass microfiber, mini-pleat design with inert thermoplastic separators. The large surface area of the HealthPro 150’s HyperHEPA Filter guarantees optimal filtration for up to 2 years under an average pollution level and speed setting.
